Established on the Central Coast in 1998 by electrician Jerard Retford, Datacom Security quickly specialised in comprehensive security solutions. Partnering with Brian Mitchell, another qualified electrician with a security specialisation, they collectively elevated the business to new heights.

As the demand for their professional services grew, Datacom expanded into the fire protection industry, creating a sister company, Datacom Fire, led by fire specialist Jeff McManus. This expansion allowed Datacom to offer a complete range of security and fire protection services, ensuring the safety and security of their clients.

One of Datacom's first clients, the Gosford RSL Club, remains a loyal customer to this day, a testament to Datacom's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
